Sankranti to Saraswati

Vidyā-Ṛṇa Śānti Sādhana (9 Days)

Arunā–Saraswati Sādhana: 9 Days for Buddhi & Vāk-Shuddhi
for students who want real grip on Jyotish

SANKRANTI TO SARASWATI: VIDYĀ-ṚṆA ŚĀNTI SĀDHANA (9 DAYS)

Makar Sankranti (14 Jan 2026) → Vasant Panchami (23 Jan 2026)

This is a 9-day discipline for Jyotish students. Not a “one-day puja” mood. This is a simple, traditional way to make your learning life stable.

A Jyotish student takes knowledge from Guru, shastra, teachers, and society. If knowledge only comes in, and nothing goes out, the mind becomes heavy and restless. You will study a lot, but your speech will not carry weight. You will know techniques, but your buddhi will keep shaking.

So we are doing this as Vidyā-Ṛṇa Śānti — repaying the debt of learning through mantra + seva, from the day Sun turns Uttarayan to the day Saraswati is worshipped.

Dates and flow

Day 1: Makar Sankranti (Wednesday, 14 Jan 2026) — Zoom Sankalpa meet
We begin together with sankalpa. Because without sankalpa, japa becomes mechanical.

Next 9 days — daily mantra chanting as per clear instructions given to you, plus daily guidance and support.

Final day: Vasant Panchami (Friday, 23 Jan 2026) — main anushthan
Vasant Panchami is traditionally Saraswati’s day, and students keep pens/books for blessing.

On this day we do the special Anushthan of Saundarya Lahari – Shloka 16.

What You'll Do in These 9 Days

You will receive a clean daily routine: what to chant, how many times, when to do it, and what to avoid during the sadhana days. The aim is not quantity-show. The aim is regularity.

We will also keep dedicated support for students during these 9 days. Many students start sadhana, then doubts come: pronunciation, mood swings, sleep issues, family disturbance, “I missed one day”, etc. This support is there so you don’t drop in the middle.

The Seva Inside This Sadhana (Hospital + School)

Hospital Donation

Why This is Jyotish-Relevant

Hospital is the living zone of the 6th house: roga, rin, seva, and the pain that humbles ego. When you donate in a hospital, you are not doing charity to feel good. You are doing it to reduce the hardness inside you.

For a Jyotish student, this is crucial. If your mind becomes dry, your predictions become dry. If your heart becomes cruel, your speech becomes sharp. Hospital-seva corrects that.

So we include donation of practical items that actually serve: support to patients and attendants (basic care items as per need). This becomes a karmic “counter-weight” for the 6th house load that many students carry silently.

School Students Donation

Why This is Saraswati Logic

On Vasant Panchami, the whole mood is Saraswati: learning, writing, speech, and refinement.

That’s why gifting notebooks, pens, study material, and learning support is not random charity. It is straight Vidyā-Dāna.

And in Jyotish language, this directly nourishes the student’s buddhi line. Because you are not only taking knowledge; you are enabling knowledge in another life to rise. That keeps Saraswati’s current flowing through you.

Vasant Panchami Main Anushthan

Saundarya Lahari – Shloka (for Vāk-Shakti and depth of learning)

On Vasant Panchami, we perform the anushthan of Saundarya Lahari particular Shloka.

This shloka is famous in tradition for mastery of learning and speech. It says that those who worship the Devi as Arunā (the dawn-like radiance), their words gain depth and beauty, like the refined flow of Saraswati, who is described as Virinchi’s beloved (Brahma’s Shakti of knowledge).

Shloka :

The idea is simple. A Jyotish student ultimately lives by vāk — how you speak, how you guide, how you counsel, how you give a remedy, how you stop fear in a client. This shloka is chosen because it trains that inner “vāk-tapasya”.

So on Vasant Panchami, we close the 9 days by offering this anushthan as a collective prayer:
“May my speech become clean. May my learning become steady. May I use Jyotish only for dharma.”

Who Should Join

If you are studying Jyotish and you feel any of these patterns, this is for you: the mind is restless while studying, speech lacks confidence, you forget what you learned, you keep jumping techniques, or your readings don’t feel “settled”. This is not about showing spirituality. This is about building the inner base that a real Jyotish student needs.
